“Mijo… Mijo, mírame. Todo va a estar bien, mi amor. Aquí está tu mamá, ¿sí? Aquí estamos, tu mamá, tu papá, y tu hermana.”Everything is so loud, so terribly loud. Eyes stared wide towards the chaos, as the women held him close, attempting to hide him away from that to which he is not suppose to see.Everything is so blurry, so terribly blurry. He had not realized the tears that began to weld up, streaming down his dirtied cheeks. Small hands covered his ears, feeling as if blood could be trickling down from the inside any moment now.Everything is so confusing, so terribly confusing. Why is it so loud? Why is it so blurry? Who is holding him? Where are the others she mentioned? Why is he crying? Why… is it getting dark?

“Did you really think you can go so far as a stowaway, you damn brat?”Everything hurts, terribly so. He felt his feet lose the feeling of the floor, soon meeting that feeling against his face. Other feelings were met across his body; feelings that could only be described with the simple words of “it hurts”.Everything is so quiet, so terribly quiet. He only managed to process a few, far more ‘easy’ words he had learned. ‘Work’… the young boy grew puzzled. Though his eyes wandered around those surrounding him, almost instantly piecing together that this ‘work’ would surely involve him.Everything is so confusing, so terribly confusing. How is it that he was caught? Why is his body in such immense pain? Why did they begin to murmur amongst themselves? Why… are they looking at him like that?

“You’re no use to us anymore. Especially when you ran off and ruined that pretty face of yours.”Everything… everything is so terribly, horribly, confusing.
He is in so much pain. it’s so blurry. it’s so loud… yet so quiet.
Why is it his fault that he ‘ran off’ and now his face is considered ‘ruined’? He didn’t purposefully run off, he got distracted. He didn’t purposefully ruin his face, something fell from the sky and struck him.One by one, slowly, blurred figures began to disappear around him. His breathe grew heavy as he grew more alone. The burning sensation spread from the right side of his face down to every inch of his body, crimson clouding the night sky. He can’t move… why… why… why—“Are you alright?”… Is he being spoken to? For some reason, the tension in his body began to fade. His mouth quivered, attempting to speak, “help”.Had he been heard? He could only pray. He could only pray that the sudden presence of this stranger had heard his weak attempt for salvation. He could only pray… that the warmth that soon enveloped his figure was real. That the crimson he saw within the night sky was gone. And that salvation had finally reached him.

He was still fairly young. Such a young, frail boy for his age. One could only wonder the events he went through to reach such a state, the one who had saved him and his companion certainly did wonder. An older man with glasses, a woman with red hair, and… a strange creature referred to as ‘the conductor’.“Will you stay?”
He was asked, and he thought. Yes. He wished to stay.
“Will you allow that?”
Only smiles were given as a response.
“Of course.”
